Loved this story, I actually felt like I was part of it while reading. It's a definite 'must read' book, & its suitable for all ages (including adults) !!!
Very well written and refreshingly clear. This author captured the pure essence of the experience of the main character. I feel many children, and adults will relate to the story and will be "transported" emotionally to an inspiring time and place.
There not a lot of books that teach children the valuable lesson of endurance. That is why I loved this book. Both children and adults will enjoy the history and valuable lessons taken from this story. I recommend it as a must read.
At the start of reading this book what happens to Priscilla is very sad, but when you finished reading the book you can see how discussing it with your children or students can leave a big impact in their lives. To top it off the art work really puts you in the story. This is a must read for all children.
This was really an interesting read, great for children to learn about diversity and adults as well! The illustrator did a wonderful job of doing the artwork! I don't think it took half an hour to read but did take me an hour to enjoy the pictures and I will remember Priscilla all my life!
Yes, I liked reading this non fiction story about Priscilla . Very explainitory an interesting of what it was like for such a young girl to go through. Very edificationall about slavery.
I truly enjoyed the story. It was well written and well researched. I really think this story can be ideal for teenagers as well because it encourages strength & hope in face of adversity. But it also encourages the value of history and the benefits that derive from it. What I truly enjoy about the writing of the story is it is not written with complicated words but it also is not to simple, which makes it ideal for readers of all ages. A true delight to read!
